Hon'ble The Chief Justice Virender Singh

High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi

Born on 07-10-1954. After graduation from Government College, Rohtak, completed his Degree of Law from J.V.Jain College, Saharanpur. Entered the legal profession in June, 1978. Practised mostly on Criminal side besides dealing with cases under the Motor Vehicles Act and Hindu Marriage Act. Upon the year 1988 practised at Rohtak. Thereafter came to Chandigarh. Remained as Deputy Advocate General, Haryana firstly from May 1995 to April 1996 and then from July 1996 to January 1999. Elavated as Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court on 02.07.2002.

Transferred to High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and assumed charge of office on 19.04.2007.

Functioned as the Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir from 02.04.2012 to 08.06.2012.

Elevated as Chief Justice of High Court of Jharkhand from 1st of November 2014
