Born on 18.06.1965 at Rourkela in Odisha. Passed matriculation in First Class from Board of Secondary education. Passed B.Sc. with distinction from Government College, Rourkela. Passed LL.B in 1988 from Rourkela Law College. Passed M.A.(History) with first class. Joined the Chambers of Harish Ray a leading practitioner of Rourkela. Also was appearing in Orissa High Court. Life member of High Court Bar Association, Orissa. Was the panel advocate for Life insurance Corporation of India, Bank of India, Indian overseas Bank and Bank of Baroda. Joined the Superior Judicial service and was posted as Addditional District Judge at Tenughat and Rajmahal. Additional Judicial Commissioner No. 1, Ranchi and also the Special Judge, CBI (AHD SCAM CASES). Presiding officer Labour Court, Hazaribag. Principal Judge, Family Court, Jamshedpur. Principal District Judge Godda and Bokaro. Registrar Establishment and Registrar General.

He was elevated as an Additional Judge of High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi w.e.f. 20th May, 2017 and, took oath as Judge of the High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi on 26th April, 2019.
